Accessibility Statement

Personal growth should be open to everyone. Here is how we design for accessibility, where we are still improving, and how to reach us.

Last updated:

At a glance

  • We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA.
  • The site is built with semantic HTML, full keyboard access, visible focus and respect for reduced-motion settings.
  • If something is hard to use, tell us. We will help you get what you need and fix the problem.

Our commitment

BreakThru Mindset is committed to making our website, member dashboard and content usable by as many people as possible, including people who use assistive technologies such as screen readers, screen magnifiers, voice control and switch devices.

We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). Accessibility is an ongoing effort: we consider it when we design new features and review existing pages as the site grows.

Measures we take

Structure and semantics

  • Pages use semantic HTML, with landmarks for the header, navigation, main content and footer, so assistive technologies can move around them easily.
  • Headings follow a logical order, and each page has one main heading.
  • A “Skip to content” link is the first item on every page, so keyboard users can skip past the navigation.

Keyboard access and focus

  • We build every interactive element, including menus, expandable questions and answers, forms and the daily practices in the dashboard, to work with a keyboard alone.
  • A clearly visible gold outline shows which element has keyboard focus.

Motion

  • If you turn on “reduce motion” in your device settings, we switch off scroll animations, smooth scrolling and other non-essential movement.

Color, contrast and text

  • We choose text and background colors to meet WCAG contrast requirements, and we do not rely on color alone to convey meaning.
  • Text can be resized up to 200 percent, and the layout adapts to small screens and zoom without losing content.
  • Long-form content is set in a readable size, with generous line spacing and line lengths.

Images and media

  • Meaningful images have text alternatives. Purely decorative images and illustrations are hidden from screen readers.
  • We are working to provide captions or transcripts for video lessons. If you need one that is not available yet, let us know and we will help.

Forms

  • Form fields have visible labels, and errors are described in text, not just shown in color.

Compatibility

The site is designed to work with current versions of major browsers, including Chrome, Safari, Firefox and Edge, on desktop and mobile, and with common assistive technologies such as VoiceOver, NVDA, JAWS and TalkBack. Older browsers may not display everything as intended.

Known limitations

Despite our efforts, some content may not yet be fully accessible:

  • Third-party pages and embeds. Payment happens on Stripe's hosted checkout and billing portal, and lesson videos may be embedded from providers such as YouTube, Vimeo or Mux. These are maintained by those companies, and their accessibility is outside our direct control.
  • Downloadable files. Some printable files, such as journal PDFs, may not be fully accessible to screen readers. Contact us and we will provide the content in another format.
  • Member-created content. Posts and images shared in the community by members may not always include text alternatives.
  • Video captions. Some video lessons may not have captions or transcripts yet.

The dedicated iOS and Android apps are in development, and we are designing them to the same standard.

Feedback and assistance

If you have difficulty using any part of BreakThru Mindset, or you need content in a different format, please tell us. We welcome your feedback.

  • Use our contact page with “Accessibility” in the subject, or email hello@breakthrumindset.com.
  • Please include the page address, what you were trying to do, and, if you are comfortable sharing it, the device, browser and assistive technology you use.

We aim to respond within [5] business days. If we cannot fix a problem right away, we will help you get the information or service you need another way.

How we keep improving

We consider accessibility when we design new pages and features, check them with a keyboard before they go live, and treat accessibility problems as bugs to fix. We plan to [commission an independent accessibility review by a date to be set]. This statement was last reviewed on the date shown at the top of this page.
